Claro Marine Modellers - Harrogate
Club Opperating and Safty Procedures at Scargill reservoir
1. Members shall sail only from the area agreed with Yorkshire Water services Ltd ( Y.W. ).
2. No more than 20 cars are to be parked on the Club car park at any one time.
3. Visitors and guests must be enrolled as Day Membersof the Club, and issued with a Tempory Membership Card. The subscription fee is £1 per day. This applies to all Visitors, private or from other clubs who participate in the Club's activities for that day.
4. No dogs are allowed on the site, the access routes or the adjoining land of Y.W. Grazing livestock on adjoining company land must not be interfered with.
5. Members are permitted by Y.W. to pass and repass on foot around the sailing area only.
6. The use of the sailing area is restricted by licence to the clubs normal sailing times, in season. These are Tuesday evenings from 6pm untill dusk, Saturday 1pm onwards.
7. Members may not sail alone at Scargill..
8. Only cars and light vans may cross the embankment.
9. All litter and rubbish must be taken away at the end of the sailing session.
10. No craft powered by internal combustion engines may be opperated at Scargill.
11. steam powered craft must not be opperated unless a current boiler certificate is in force.
12. The Dingy and equipment should be checked at the begginning of each sailing session. It should be ready for immediate use, and be equipped with a pair of oars, a pair of rowlocks, a bailer and a pair of lifejackets before being launched.
13. crew members must put on a lifejacket before taking to the water.
14. The condition of the life belt and line should be checked at the begginning of each sailing session.
15. The Floating Platform is to be used for the purpose of launching and recovering models only, and no more then one person should use it at any one time.

National Model Engineering & Model Makers Exhibition Great Yorkshire Show ground Harrogate North Yorkshire
The show will be held on the 8th - 10th of May our coordinator will again be Mr B. Warburton Brian needs details for our members to register their Boats for display by the 31st of March , we require 30-35 boats for our stand
Name of Model, or class, Title , ie. HMS or SS etc. value of model if you are able to man the stand at the show Friday , Saturday , Sunday, even if you are not entering a boat to display.
Please make sure your Model is clean & tidy and has no lose bits that may drop off. All Models displayed must be collected at the end of the show, Sunday the 10th.
If you wish to enter one of the class competitions Brian has individual entry forms.
models Have to be delivered at the show ground on Thursday the 7th of May , setting up is from 10am to 10pm

I would like to introduce myself as Lynne Hallums is currently off sick so I am the new contact at the council for the Allotments Show.
As you are promoting the show on site and encouraging everyone to set up I assume you are still coming however, I would appreciate a call/ email to confirm. Would you like a tale providing? You will be based undercover.

Family Fun Day 25th August Canal Basin Ripon The Ripon Scuba diving Club are holding a " Family Day " on the Canal. We understand there will be parking close to the location. Our co-ordinator for this event is Mr P. Allinson ( Club Members wishing to display Please Contact Mr Peter Allinson as soon as possible ) we hope to have working models on display throughout the day.

The Northern Model Engineering & Modelling Exhibition Pickering is once more upon us. The dates this year are:-
Setup Thursday 13th
Show days 14th , 15th & 16th September 2007.
Approximately 30 models are required to give a worthy display of Claro's Model building talents. PLEASE check your boats for bits dropping off , are they clean? does it sit on the stand, wobble about or list to one side. the closing date for entries is the 15thth August. The details required to be given to Mr B.R. Warburton are:- Name of boat/s and Type, I.E. HMS Hood , warship./. SS Britannic , passenger liner. Value of model, insurance value & if able when you would be able to man the stand i.e. Fri , Sat , Sun am/pm. many thanks to all who took part last year, I'm sure we all hope for an even larger turnout this year.
